Royal Windsor Horse Show
The months leading up to the Windsor Horse Show were a flurry of activity as the team worked tirelessly to prepare the site for the upcoming event. From setting up fences, planting and irrigating the grass, and other necessary infrastructure, every detail was meticulously attended to. A special mention goes out to Paul and Maria for their exceptional work on the fences, and to the entire team for their hard work in ensuring everything was ready on time.
Despite the relentless rain leading up to the event, the team persevered, with the help of our team working together to tow the horse boxes in and out of the Home Park Public. The team reacted quickly to use a vacuum tanker to clear the flood water from the horse show ground, this showcased the team's resourcefulness and dedication to ensuring a smooth experience for all participants.
With great feedback like; "A big thank you to the team at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, they ran like clockwork with minimum disruption and no complaints. How amazing! true ‘NEVER SAY NEVER’ attitude!”.
Looking ahead, the team is committed to restoring the grounds to their original state in the coming months. Waste from grass cutting is being repurposed on the farm, aligning with the principles of the Green Windsor initiative. This initiative aims to make responsible decisions that positively impact the environment, including reducing natural resource usage and minimising wastage. By participating in the Net Zero Carbon Events Initiative, the team is taking proactive steps towards achieving sustainability goals and reducing their carbon footprint. This is being achieved through using the grass cuttings and manure and turning them into compost to spread over the fields.
